PIECES OF PROSE
We formed Limestone Connection in 2014 with the original intent to shake up traditional writers' readings with elements of drama and music, collaborating with other artists to tell a story through lyrical-lit sets. Our first big project was co-writing the script and music for "Fifty Miles Away", which won first place in the Frostburg University Center for Literary Arts One-Act Festival in 2015. We assembled a team of musicians to record the album and solicited the mad skills of Shelby Preklas, Sound Engineer at Loud And Clear Studio in Paducah, Kentucky. "Fifty Miles Away" reflects what StoryProof is all about - bringing conversations to life - carrying a tradition for oral storytelling to capture a narrative snapshot of people making an impact on our cultural landscape. As writers, actors, and musicians (Holly on uke and Jason on harp) we gravitate towards stories about artists, famous or infamous, discovered or hidden. But most importantly, StoryProof is a place to highlight fascinating people who've got something authentic and real to say.
